If you’ve longed dreamt of being a part of Tucson’s 100-year-old Rodeo Parade, here’s your chance to check it off of your bucket list.
Applications are being accepted now for the 2025 centennial Tucson Rodeo Parade through Jan. 10, 2025, at 5 p.m.
The non-motorized event, scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 20, 2025, features local and national dignitaries, Native American royalty and performers, historical wagons and colorful floats, marching bands and mariachis, rodeo royalty and working cowboys.

The parade entries compete in 21 prize classes ranging from Western Riding Groups and Historical to Most Comical and Multiple-team Hitch, a news release said.

There are also three special awards: The Curt Sullivan Sweepstakes award (overall best entry) the Chairman’s Award and the Judge’s Award; and two special band awards named after past Parade Committee members, the Paul Grimes award (Outstanding music performance) and the Bucky Steele award (Outstanding marching performance).
An average of 150,000 spectators line the streets to watch the free parade on Tucson’s south side.
This year’s 2½-mile route will begin at South 12th Avenue and Drexel Road, head east on Drexel to Old Nogales Highway, then turn north, ending at Irvington Road.
