Last week鈥檚 recipient: Jose Olivas, principal at Roskruge Bilingual K-8.

Why: For being largely responsible for turning Roskruge around. During his time as principal, Roskruge has raised test scores and has earned many accolades, Flewelling wrote in his nomination letter. Olivas has done that by focusing on building caring relationships. 鈥淗e leads by example,鈥 the letter states. 鈥淛ose is humble, endlessly kind and a role model in so many ways.鈥
