A market specializing in Mexican products, including the “birria bomb,” is now open in central Tucson with another shop coming this summer.
leased 1,400 square feet in Cornerstone Plaza at 2485 N. Swan Road, north of East Grant Road. The landlord is Heights Properties LLP.
The Tucson franchisee’s second location will be a 1,243 square foot space at Kwan Center, 2509 E. Campbell Ave., leased from Always Sunny Properties Inc. Both landlords were represented by Aaron LaPrise and Dave Hammack, with Picor.
Ricardo Roiz joined the Wild West franchise to open the two new stores, said his son, Andre Roiz, who is his manager.
There are two other different franchisee locations at 4889 W. Ajo Way and 4825 N. First Ave.

“He fell in love with the concept of the store because they have a different ambience and vibe,” Andre Roiz said. “They aim to sell more to neighborhoods and families.”
The sought-after birria bombs are solid balls of dried spices, herbs and flavorings typically used in birria which are added directly to a pot with meat and water. The bomb dissolves as it simmers into a stew, infusing the shredded meat with the flavors.
Wild West Mini Mart also carries Mexican chips, candy, sodas, breads, pastries and a butcher counter with meat ready for grilling.
The market is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
