An extreme heat warning for the Metro Tucson area has been extended through Sunday night, the weather service says.
Temperatures in the region are expected to range from 102 degrees to 107 degrees, the National Weather Service in Tucson said.

In Tucson, the high temperature is expected to reach 106 degrees both today and Sunday, the forecast says.
The area has been under an extreme heat warning since midweek. Southern portions of Pinal County also are included in the warning.Â
The warning is set to end at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Meanwhile, a handful of strong thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening across western portions of Pima County, though unlikely in the city, the weather service said.
