Tony Fields and ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ players talked Tuesday about the defense's "swagger" and new-found confidence.
The ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ head to Utah on a short week, coming off their most impressive defensive performance of the season to date.
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ forced four turnovers in a win over Cal last weekend, including two that went for scores and two in the fourth quarter. The ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ had four takeaways in the previous five weeks combined.
Linebacker Tony Fields and defensive end JB Brown on Tuesday attributed the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥' defensive revival of sorts to the unit's "swagger." When asked how much confidence the defense is playing with, Brown said: "A lot. Swagger, having fun.
"We play like this at practice all the time so it's like, we practice like this, we want to keep the intensity up in the game. Let's let loose, let's have fun, keep the swag going."
The ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ will hope to do just that when they visit Salt Lake City and the Utes on Friday at 7 p.m. But first, players met with media Tuesday to discuss preparations and the team's outlook midway through the season.
