Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal and famed DJ/promoter Mix Master Mike will be in Tucson following the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ men’s basketball Red-Blue game for an afterparty on Oct. 3.
O’Neal, who appeared as “DJ Diesel†at a Big 12 Tournament celebration in Kansas City last season, played for the Suns and has a son, Shareef, who once committed to the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ before heading elsewhere.

“ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ has been a special place for me since 2008 when I was traded to the Phoenix Suns,†O’Neal said in a UA statement. “Let’s see what Tucson and the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ are all about.â€
ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥â€™s Red Blue PostMove Afterparty will also feature a DJ set featuring Mix Master Mike, who has worked with the Beastie Boys, and ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ coach Tommy Lloyd.
Tickets to the afterparty are $30 for general admission and $75 for VIP seating, including fees. Remaining tickets for the Red-Blue Showcase range from $15-30, while UA is also selling baseline ($250) and sideline ($500) packages for the Red-Blue game that include VIP afterparty tickets.

The Red-Blue Showcase, a preseason celebration for fans and recruiting targets alike, starts at 6 p.m. at McKale Center. The afterparty will follow at 8 at the adjacent Bear Down Field, just north of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ Stadium.
