Two more former ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ joined running back Jonah Coleman as former UA players to follow head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff to Washington.Â
Four-star 2024 quarterback Demond Williams, after his official visit this weekend, Â on Sunday, along with former Indiana transfer cornerback Jordan Shaw. Coleman committed to Washington Saturday night, after several of his former ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ teammates, including quarterback Noah Fifita, wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan and linebacker Jacob Manu, affirmed their decision to stay in Tucson.Â
When Williams signed with the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ as the top-rated in-state offensive prospect, Fisch called the quarterback, who was originally an Ole Miss commit, an “elite freshman coming in†and the “best player in the state of ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥.†At Chandler Basha, the 5-11, 180-pound Williams passed for 10,035 yards and 93 touchdowns on a 71.4% completion rate over four years. He also rushed for 2,723 yards and 42 touchdowns.

Williams accounted for three touchdowns at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio earlier this month. Â
“He doesn’t throw a lot of incompletions, which is an incredible sign of someone who knows how to play the game of football,†Fisch said in December. “He has elite athleticism in terms of speed. He’s flat-out fast for a quarterback. He does a great job of taking over a game at any given moment. You can really put the ball in his hands and he can really win you the game."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Shaw, a Downey, California, native and former St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy standout, had 12 tackles and a pass breakup in one season at Indiana. Shaw played in the 2023 All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Before committing to Indiana, Shaw pledged to Colorado, which had former UA assistant director of recruiting Armond Hawkins on staff; Hawkins is now at UW.
