NFL veteran cornerback and Tucson native Levi Wallace signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The former Tucson High Badger reported to Jacksonville’s training camp practice on Sunday.
The Jaguars are the fourth NFL team Wallace has played for since entering the league as an undrafted free agent following an illustrious career at Alabama in 2018. Wallace has played for the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and now Jacksonville.
After two seasons with the Steelers, Wallace signed a one-year deal with the Broncos last season Wallace and was primarily a reserve cornerback, but started in Week 13 and struggled against Cleveland Browns receiver and former Bronco Jerry Jeudy, who had nine catches for 235 yards and a touchdown against Wallace. Wallace was waived by Denver on Christmas Eve. Wallace has earned $13.4 million in his NFL career.
