November is the perfect time of the year to sit on a patio, have wonderful hors d’oeuvres, sip on an adult beverage and listen to Randall Dighton perform music from popular movies and Broadway musicals. With over 60 years of performing, Randall brings his amazing voice and guitar skills to entertain and charm his audiences.

Randall has over 400 songs in his repertoire, including 50 from popular movies and Broadway musicals. If you enjoy the likes of: If Ever I Would Leave You (Camelot), Edelweiss (The Sound of Music), Memory (Cats) or Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera), you will enjoy this evening of reminiscing. In fact, you will be transported back to the time in your life when you first heard the iconic songs that Randall will be performing. We hope that you can join us!

This wonderful House Concert will be held on Wednesday, November 6, with beverages and Hors d’oeuvres served at 4:30 p.m., at the home of Marjorie and Tom Herrmann (hosts), located at 61879 E. Sandlewood. This House Concert is being co-sponsored by Barry and Mary Jo Swartzberg, and Randall and Linda Dighton.

This concert benefits the Oracle Schools Foundation (OSF). The price of the ticket is $60 per person. Note: Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided by members of the Catalina Chorale, of which Randall is the Director.

About Randall DightonRandall Dighton, Troubadour Randall was born in Southern California in 1946, raised in the City of Orange, and attended Chapman College (now Chapman University) as a music and mathematics major. After serving in the US Army, he began working as a professional musician as well as a calligrapher/graphic designer.

Randall’s music career began as a strolling singer in Southern California in his mid-teens, performing the ballads of the British Isles, as well as standards and show tunes, at four-star restaurants as well as Celtic and International events on the West Coast, performing both on stage and as a strolling troubadour.

Randall was a fixture at Scottish Games, Renaissance Faires and other festivals from the 1960s, accompanied on either guitar or lute. He was the United Kingdom Pavilion’s troubadour (and Official Scribe) at EPCOT Centre for most of the 1980s.

After singing and working in California and Oregon, he and his wife, Linda, moved back to Northern California in 2015, where he served as the director, arranger and accompanist for the Mountain Ridge Singers (a community chorus) in Paradise, California for four years, as well as directing and performing with the Jolly Beggars, a Scottish band.

After fleeing the Camp Fire that destroyed the town of Paradise in November 2018, they settled in SaddleBrooke, ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥. Now, he performs at various events including festivals, retirement ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ and other venues as requested. He also directs and accompanies a small chorus, the Catalina Chorale. He has recorded several CDs of Celtic music through the years, with two of them recently reconstructed after the loss of the original files in the fire.

Randall has studied the art of calligraphy since his early teens, and began to create annual works of scribal art in 1974. Many of these are displayed throughout the world.
