A storm moving across Mexico that was expected to turn toward ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥ has instead steered in the opposite direction, significantly reducing the amount of rain expected around Tucson today and tomorrow, the weather service said.
Former tropical cyclone Lorena's path shifted west and slowed down, keeping the heaviest rainfall in Mexico.

The switch in Lorena's movement prompted the National Weather Service in Tucson to cancel the Flood Watch here Friday and Saturday.
Still, showers are expected along the ÃÛÁÄÖ±²¥-Sonora border today as well as areas where it'll get hot enough to encourage storms despite cloudy skies and cooler than normal temperatures in the region, the weather service said.
Today's high temperature in Tucson will be 91 degrees, with a 30% chance of rain.
Rain chances here rise to 40% Friday night and Saturday, the forecast shows.

Saturday there will be a more typical monsoon day with scattered showers and thunderstorms with chances for localized areas of flash flooding.
